The Vertigo Reissues

Eleven of Quo's albums produced between 1973 and 1981 and originally released on the Vertigo label are now reissued by Universal on their Mercury label. All have been digitally remastered with the best quality edits, no track omissions as in previous releases and with bonus tracks.

On 31st January 2005 the first phase were issued – Piledriver, Hello, Quo, On The Level, Blue For You and Live.

The second phase of releases were issued on 7 March 2005 and features Rockin’ All Over The World, If You Can’t Stand The Heat, Whatever You Want, Just Supposin’ and Never Too Late.

These lavish releases feature fantastic liner notes, lyrics, original LP artwork and pictures of rare overseas collectors' item sleeves.



PILEDRIVER

The band's first chart album, this hit No.5 in 1972. Includes the single "Paper Plane" which reached No.8. The bonus track is the ultra-rare live version of "Don't Waste My Time" from the 1973 Reading Festival.

HELLO

The band’s first No.1 album. “Hello” includes legendary live staple "Caroline" which hit No.5 in 1973 while the bonus is the previously non-LP "Joanne".

QUO

This album reached No.2 in the UK charts in 1974 and contains the Top Ten hit single "Break The Rules". The previously non-album number "Lonely Night" has been added as a bonus track.

ON THE LEVEL

Another No.1 album (1975) this time including the band's first No.1 single "Down Down". The bonus tracks is the Top Ten EP "Roll Over Lay Down", the 7" version of "Down Down" plus a 1975 live out take that has previously only appeared on the "Rockers Rollin" box set.
