1988 AIN'T COMPLAINING (Parfitt/Williams) (3.59) That's Alright (Rossi/Frost/Parfitt) (3.31) Producer: Pip Williams 7 inch vinyl single - VERTIGO QUO 22 (Picture sleeve) 7 inch vinyl single also issued as VERTIGO QUOH 22 - a limited edition History Pack featuring a special outer box made from card and inside part one of the Status Quo family tree - drawn and compiled by Pete Frame. Released: 14 March 1988 Some copies of this single were issued with an additional 5 inch square promotional card, enclosed inside the picture sleeve. 'Ain't Complaining' is an edited version of the song recorded for the album of the same name. Whilst the track entitled 'That's Alright' is a re-recording of the song originally written by FrancisRossi and Bernie Frost (title then quoted as 'That's All Right'), for their projected 'Dolo' album (entitled 'Flying Debris') in 1985. Their own original recording was released in 1985 as the flipside to the Rossi/Frost single 'Modern Romance'. Both 'That's Alright' and 'Lean Machine' have not been included on any Quo album. Magic (Rossi/Frost) (3.52) Producer: Pip Williams 7 inch vinyl single - VERTIGO QUAID 1 (Picture sleeve with 'Sport Aid' leaflet) Released: 8 August 1988 The track 'Running All Over The World' is a re-working of John Fogerty's original composition 'Rocking All Over The World'. The song, with the lyrics appropriately changed, was re-recorded especially for 'Sport Aid '88 - The Race Against Time' event staged on 11th September 1988. The track 'Magic' is the original recording released on the Quo album 'Ain't Complaining'. 'Whatever You Want' and 'Marguerita Time' are the original versions recorded for the Quo albums 'Whatever You Want' and 'Back To Back' respectively. A factory error also saw the appearance of a limited number of mispressed 12 inch vinyl singles (which were complete with the same picture sleeve). These singles were pressed using the A-side of the promotional 12""single (VERTIGO QUO DJ2512), which included both the 7" and 12" versions of 'Burning Bridges'.
