Some bright spark thought it would be a good idea to put us on the same night as the Euro 2000 final, showing the footy first, and then Quo to follow directly after. Great idea, few beers, the game, and then us.
It did work rather well, though the Wilhelm (German billy) were a trifle thin on the ground, not surprising really. Only thing was the video feed got lost in extra time, which did make Dan pig laugh, not. Still, we saw the end, and justice was seen to be done par les Francaises.
Then home for a few days, until a Swiss, 4 more German and an Austrian show, all outdoors or in marquees.
I'm not going to say that much about them, you'll see why in a mo, suffice to say as usual we rocked, in fact Mr. Monitor, Tim was only just saying how the whole thing is gelling better and better with TQMIR (the quietest man in rock) Mr. Matt Letley. DDM and bar... that's the distinguished drumming medal, plus any bar that's a) open, and b) sells beer. |

That, by the way, marks the end of our current workload commitment, (Blairism for you've had your lot, now bugger off) in the so called GAS territories. GAS being Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We're not now doing the gig which was rescheduled in Austria it would seem. So, to all of you that did, thanks for coming, see you whenever.
Oh, and a big high 5 to Jeorg, (if the spelling's wrong sorry, I never was any good at geography). Jeorg was the band bus driver sitting in for Klaus, who had the BLOODY NERVE to go off and drive Alanis Morrisette for a month, WHEN WE'RE WORKING.

This was definitely the wettest, lots of very bedraggled and soaked young Austrians.
While I remember, you Dutch nutters, you've been great on this tour by the way, good fun...

By the way, I am a doink 'cos I forgot the digicam on this trip, so if anyone has any photos, feel free to mail them. Pictures of your wife, girlfriend etc in compromising positions are especially welcome. Meanwhile the pics on this page were taken on the Ukraine leg (see next page)
