Brussels - Monday.
We're all a bit knackered after the exertions of Sunday, the old bod ain't what it was, still, it
doesn't bother me, I got a new Zimmerframe. Before we started the tour we thought maybe
we should take a couple of songs out... so we did, you know, make it a bit easier on the old
gits (us). However, just after that we put in a load more, and now the set's even longer
than it was! I'm sure some of you and those of you on the mailing list already know what we're playing, but I'll bung a set list up in the next couple of days. Anyway...
The gig...
Forest National Stadium used to be a bit of a dump, but it's had a serious
lick of paint since we were last there, in fact I think it was on the Army tour in '86.
Tonight 8,479 (the exact figure) people went absolutely mental, a great vibe on and off stage.
Francis really was the man tonight, he's awesome when he gets really
sent. Nice bit after the gig as well. Sam from the record company came up and said to us
"You are still the best Rock and Roll band in the world" and apart from the fact we KNOW we
are, it's still cool when people in the music business who are not renowned for showing emotion
say stuff like that. Aah, poor Rhino, okay...I'll get me coat....
I'm actually in Bournemouth now
as we're playing here tomorrow, we drove overnight and as usual the weather has turned
freezing when we arrive, so I just wish I had in fact brought a coat with me.
Seeya,

Tommy Coopers's Joke of the day (from beyond the grave!)
Patient: "Doctor,Doctor, I've broken my arm in two places..."
Doctor: "Well, don't go to those two places then"
